Join us for the day in the wonderful surroundings of Chichester Yacht Club where we will introduce you to taking digital photographs and downloading them onto a computer. The day has been designed for those who are not that confident in using their camera or a computer to download photographs. We pride ourselves on being able to deliver our subject in plain English without the use of technical jargon.
BEGINNERS PHOTOGRAPHY COURSES
From our years of experience in teaching photography we have developed a simple system for beginners to follow when starting out with a Digital SLR camera. By following our system of camera control you will achieve the results you want and be able to produce images that you will be proud of. On our one day intensive DSLR course you will be taught about Shutter Speed, Aperture and Depth of Field, ISO, White Balance and Histograms.
We will guide you through the basic way in which a digital camera works and go through its important controls. We will concentrate on freezing movement and how to decide if you want the background sharp or blurred. We will also look at white balance and ISO settings. We will also discuss the composition of a photograph.
A day at Painshill Park for those who have taken one of our evening classes or 2 and 3 day beginner courses and are in need of a refresher.
The scheme will be over a twelve month period where we will set a monthly project for you to photograph. Each project will cover a different aspect of photography and advice on suitable subjects and how to photograph them at their best will be given by us as each project starts. At the end of each month you submit four of your images to us and we provide you with comprehensive and constructive feedback on what was good and what could be improved.
Spend a day with Ashley or David starting at Imber Court, Chichester Yacht Club or in the comfort of your home learning everything you need to know about your DSLR or bridge camera. We will explain shutter speed, aperture, white balance, ISO and exposure compensation and the importance of the histogram. The day will include time spent out on location taking images under our expert guidance.
For our clients requiring one to one tuition in their home or office David will guide you through some of the fantastic ways in which we can edit and enhance our images. Sessions can be tailored to your individual needs.
At the conclusion of the course you will be confident in taking control of your camera and you will be able to start to produce some excellent images that you will be proud to display.
